Opening Ceremony
There will be a festival opening ceremony on Friday 1pm in the Retreat Healing Field, which Rob and Josie da Bank intend to attend. It will be conducted by Authentic Druids living on the Isle of Wight, combined with a Shamanic Ceremonial Master, so it should be a powerful ritual. Everyone is invited to participate/observe/soak up the vibes of this special experience.

The Retreat Healing Field is back, bigger than ever, and now located in the Boutique campsite area. This space offers you a chance to escape the mad festival throng and relax, in an atmosphere of peace, tranquillity, and fun. Everybody asks too much of their body and soul during the Bestival weekend, but no-one wants to actually stop having fun! Don't worry, help is at hand...
The Sun Lodge
This is a simply stunning, authentic 32ft Sun lodge medicine Tipi. It will hold up to 50 people for gatherings and workshops. As well as one on one healing sessions, the workshops proposed for this years Bestival include:
- Didgiridoo sound journey and healing with Bear.
- Chanopa Pipe ceremony.. traditional Lakota prayer offerings with Bear.

The epicentre of the retreat is a chill out space. Offering the best in teas, energising snacks and a flow of live atmospheric music, it will be a place of unsurpassed aftercare and Bestival respite. With our highly qualified, dedicated professional therapists and healers on hand to help you, you'll be back on your feet in no time!

Bookings will be taken for the weekend at our central reception,as well as directly with individual therapists from:

The fees are £30 per hour treatment / £15 for half hour.
Types of treatments available:
Pressure-point treatments and clothed massage:
Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art which combines acupressure, passive stretching, applied yoga and massage techniques to achieve a unique and powerful massage therapy.
Reflexology works by stimulating reflex points on the feet to encourage the body to heal itself and restore its own healthy balance.
Shiatsu works on the same channels and points as acupuncture but instead of needles, the therapist applies pressure with the thumbs, elbows, knees or feet.
Bowen Technique is a soft tissue technique that is applied on the muscles, tendons and ligaments of the body very gently and with minimal pressure.
Oil based massage:
Ayurvedic massage is a powerful Indian technique with oil and Ayurvedic herb, using yoga stretches and your breathing to open your body, soothe your muscles and en-trance your mind!
Aromatherapy massage is the holistic application of essential oils to improve physical and emotional well-being combined with massage.
Holistic massage is a whole body massage using oils. It aims to relax and de-stress the body and mind, releasing tension and relieving minor muscular aches and pains.
Lomi Lomi Hawaiin massage is a full body oil massage, incorporating sweeping strokes, deep pressure and fluidic movements.
Energy-based, clothed treatments:
Aricular Acupuncture restores chi balance by stimulating or sedating points by inserting fine needles into specific areas of the ear which are electrically active. Not painful!
Cranio-Sacral is a non-invasive manipulative technique which works to treat the whole body by gently balancing the membranes, fluids, bones and fascia.
Reiki is a non-intrusive hands on healing which safely and effectively balances the mind and body. The practitioner uses certain hand positions to direct energy to relevant areas of the body.
Energy Balancing releases trapped energy (emotional/spiritual) bringing light, awareness and balance.
Chair-based treatments:
Indian head massage stimulates the circulation of the scalp and helps to dispel stress-generated muscle tension and includes massage of the shoulders, arms, neck, head and face.
On-site acupressure massage works an acupressure sequence for your back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands and scalp and is performed whilst you are sitting in an ergonomically designed chair.
On-site deep tissue oil massage is performed on an ergonomic on site massage chair. Oils are used on the skin to give the person the benefits and experience of a deep tissue massage.
