Roll up roll up lets all Come Together for one of THE most exciting festivals of the summer. Let's get Higher Than The Sun and get our Rocks Off in September as we Screamadelica out loud with joy at the announcement of the third headliner at this year's Bestival.

***insert sound of drum roll*** Yep you've guessed it, our Sunday night headliner is the totally brilliant Primal Scream. They join previously announced headliners The Chemical Brothers and Beastie Boys at one of the highlights of the summer.

The Scream were honored with the 'Godlike Genius' award at this year's NME Awards, which we reckon was well overdue. With 18 hit singles, 11 albums and one helluva rock'n'roll reputation behind them they finally got the recognition they deserved. And we couldn't be prouder to finally have them play for us at the last festival of the summer, what a way to finish!

Here's what Rob da Bank has to say about it...
"Screamadelica made me throw half my record collection out it was so good... and they've just got better and better... get ready to get your rocks off!"

And speaking of ways to finish the festival, after Primal Scream close the main stage, we'll all be skipping over to the Big Top to hear the almighty 2 Many DJs who have come back especially to ceremoniously end the festival on a high.

Plus we've also added to the bill more fantastic bands, including The Rumble Strips, a band that's been on every taste maker's lips this year. Plus Planning To Rock aka Janine Rostron - a spaced out bonkers performance artist and musician. An arty Janis Joplin. A psycho-tropic wonder. A musician and video master whose powerful voice and groundbreaking songwriting is generating waves. Kid Carpet is back for his fourth year at Bestival and we welcome Xerox Teens, 3 Daft Monkeys, Easy Star All Stars and Kid Harpoon too.

The latest addition to the bill at this year's Bestival is a gigantic ukulele band that will be made up solely of festival-goers. Organised in cahoots with the fabulous Dulwich Ukulele Club, 'The Night of 100 Ukes' will take place on the final Sunday evening of the festival.

If you would like to be part of the band then add yourself as a friend to www.myspace.com/nightof100ukes. Details of songs, lyrics and chords you need to learn will all be posted there. Although rehearsals will be primarily be held at the festival itself we will also be organising a get together for everyone who fancies taking part in August in a central London pub. You don't need any musical experience to join in the fun, just a ukulele and a little bit of enthusiasm.

You can buy ukulele in most decent music shops and they dont cost very much, there will also be a stand selling ukes at the festival.

Hendrix at Woodstock... Orbital at Glastonbury... Night of 100 Ukes at Bestival!

This is your chance to make a little bit of musical history...
