The Blue Pavilion, Bestival's newest 24 hour ambient and electronica space is teaming up with Rizla in an inspirational move to give hot, unsigned talent the chance to play live at Bestival when they submit their demos to Rizla via www.inspired-by.co.uk/podcasting
  
Bestival have teamed up with Rizla to run a truly unique competition this summer that will give the best unsigned act the chance to play to a live UK festival crowd in 'The Blue Pavilion: Inspired by... Rizla'. Bestival host Rob da Bank will judge the competition and musicians can enter by sending their own inspired tracks to www.inspired-by.co.uk/podcasting

'The Blue Pavilion: inspired by...Rizla', is a 24-hour, non-stop, ambient and electronica space showcasing the world's best experimental and downtempo DJs and bands. Rizla favourites The Bays (pictured) curate the whole of Friday and pass on to Rob da Bank for the weekend, there will be live performances from Ayota, Clayhill and Digitional as well as rare DJ sets from Ulrich Schnauss and múm.

Playing to a sea of thousands of festival goers going wild to your music is most musicians ultimate dream - and one which will come true for one lucky unsigned act on 8th September.

The winner will get to perform a 30 minute set on the opening night in front of thousands of festival goers in 'The Blue Pavilion: inspired-by…Rizla' set to be the home of non-stop, top-quality performances from internationally acclaimed DJs and bands in the 24 hour village.

The competition will take place over two rounds. The first will be open for submissions on 16th June and close on 7th July. For each round Rob da Bank and Rizla will choose the most 'inspiring' track as well as 5 runners up tracks. All of those chosen will be podcast on www.inspired-by.co.uk/podcasting

Once the best tracks have been selected the competition will be open to public vote to decide which is the most inspired act worthy of the top prize.

The contest not only gives aspiring talent the opportunity to shine on stage but it also gives fans of new music the chance to hear Rob da Bank's and Rizla's favourite new tracks on www.inspired-by.co.uk/podcasting. The winning band's performance at Bestival will be podcast again afterwards, giving fans the chance to hear the winners in all their glory.

Rob da Bank said, "The UK is producing some amazing new talent and I am really excited about Rizla's involvement in finding and supporting inspiring new acts. Hopefully this will give all budding musicians the chance to demonstrate their individuality and unique sound and offer them the notoriety they deserve. Put that in your stereo and smoke it!"
